"Favorite check in/out process ever! Room was clean and spacious. Love the boho chic decor. The toaster oven is a great bonus compared to your average room with just a mini fridge and microwave. The microwave is also larger than ones usually found in motel rooms. Also easy access to the beach adjacent from the motel. Huge upgrade from what was previously there."

"My boyfriend made the reservation and I have to admit, when we pulled up I was a tad bit skeptical. It is VERY misleading when you look at the outside. We arrived at night and it was dark, with very little lighting. I held my breath as we opened the door and WOW!! I was so proud! The place is lovely! We had a king sized bed and the room was impeccably clean. There is a kitchenette with a fridge, convection oven, microwave, AND a keurig with complementary coffee!! I got the BEST sleep of my life. Pillows were amazing, decor was cute, and we just felt right at home. If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay with the top notch amenities of a $300/night hotel, this place is great! A true gem in the OBX!"

"We stayed at Tar Heel for a night before heading down to Rodanthe for the week. The inside was really nice. Very clean and comfortable. First time staying here so not sure what the interior looked like before but now, very nice. We had two rooms. We will definitely stay again. Stayed in pet friendly rooms.
