"Quaint little motel across the street from the beach, and a quick stroll from a beach access. Very reasonably priced, great service, convenient location (we walked to The Dunes & ate dinner & breakfast). The rooms were so unique & comfortable. New, nice mattresses with memory foam overlays & quality linens made my night very restful. Each room has a large mini fridge, toaster over, coffee maker & microwave. Everything appeared brand new. Highly recommend this establishment, and thanks to the owner for a wonderful stay."

"My husband and I got away for a few days to nags head. We had maid reservations well in advance. We stayed in a very clean pet friendly room. I didn't pay attention to which room I reserved. We had a king sized bed and a tiny bathroom. The place was clean and well maintained. It was also quiet."

"Excellent motel! Reasonably priced and immaculate. Completely renovated rooms, done beautifully! Keurig in the room as well as a mini fridge, microwave and toaster oven. Ice machine on premises as well as a soda machine, picnic tables, bbq area and pool. So glad we stayed here versus a more expensive place, had not one problem during our 4 day stay. Beds are a little hard but I hear they will be adding mattress toppers, but they weren't hard enough to disturd our sleep at all. Digital keypad on door a real plus when having multiple people in the room, no keys or cards to lose. Conveniently located, walking distance to beach and many other places. Perfect overall experience! Would definitely stay here again!"

First time staying here so not sure what the interior looked like before but now, very nice. We had two rooms. We will definitely stay again. Stayed in pet friendly rooms. "I stayed my Anniversary week. It's all newly renovated. About 150 feet to a public beach Access! Around a 1/4 mile from a pier! The beach is a family beach! The "DUNES" Restuarant is behind the Tar Heel Motel. Very reasonably priced, and the family will love it. The Manager Beth and her working crew are all great people! Enjoy your stay!"
